This is a comprehensive Java programming class designed to prepare students for acing College Board AP-Computer Science A exam in 2021, and going beyond by helping students build solid foundation for further pursue in computer science, whether in students’ academic endeavor or employment opportunity. Classes cover the ins-and-outs of Java language and its application in real life scenario. Students will work on the essential Java concepts such as language syntax, logical expression, data type, Java class library, flow control, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design pattern, recursive algorithm, Java data structure, sorting, searching and merging algorithm, and bring alive these skills by applying it to hands-on projects.
This class is highly recommended for those who are planning to study AP-Computer Science A at their own high schools, or those who are self-studying Java to prepare for the College Board AP exam.
Prerequisites: Proficiency in Algebra II. Students must bring their own laptop computers to the class.
