Developed by Microsoft, C# is intended to be a simple, modern, general-purpose, object-oriented programming language modeled after and improved upon Java programming language. C# has achieved wide-spread adoption in enterprise computing and advanced research. Learning C# has the second benefit because many of the concepts and syntaxes are identical to Java, so it will help easing the learning curve of Java/AP-Computer Science, through engaging in the fun activities of building 2-D and 3-D game using the underlining powerful Unity-3D game development engine.
This is a hands-on class designed for 9th + grade students who have some knowledge in OOP (Object-Oriented-Programming) or experience in any programming languages (if younger than 9th grade) and are looking for opportunities in the mobile development world. The class was designed and tuned with the teenage programming learners in our mind. The knowledge and foundation our youth will acquire will unleash their creativity and go beyond their academy achievement. It is the most fun and unique way to supplement students’ high school portfolio, to better prepare them for AP-Computer Science Java test, and to help them gain the opportunity in the exciting mobile industry. At the end of class, students will be ready to publish their own mobile apps.
Prerequisite: knowledge of OOP(Object-Oriented Programming) or experience with any programming languages
