This 10-week program is designed for 8th + grade students exploring Engineering or Computer Science as college majors, or preparing to participate in coding competitions such as USACO(USA Computing Olympiad), iOi(International Olympiad in Informatics), Microsoft Imagine Cup, or Google Code In, by using C++ programming language.
Students will learn the fundamentals of C++ language and utilize the industry-standard, integrated development environment Microsoft Visual Studio Express to create impressive projects. At the end of class, students will leave with solid foundation in software engineering, get ready for further study in AP-CS subjects and Java language, and equipped with the tools to excel in the booming field of computer technology.
Prerequisite: Proficiency in Algebra (Students must bring own laptop computers)
