AP-computer science series:
java programming Fundamentals
This program is designed to align with College Board's new instruction and test guideline for 2015. In the new Guide, although the scope of Java Language coverage remains unchanged, the project content and approach have received major overhaul. Grid World will no longer be tested, but additional project works will be emphasized in order for students to learn practical Java coding skills.
In this 29-week program series, students will learn the fundamental Java Programming Language during the first 10 weeks. They will study and practice in basic Java syntax, logical expression, data type, Java class library, program flow control, Object-Oriented Programming and design pattern, recursive algorithm, Java data structure, sorting, searching and merging algorithm. In the second 10-week period, students will embark with real world Java programming using learn-by-project approach, to give them not only real coding experience but also fulfilling APCS test requirements. In the last 9-week, students will focus on test preparation through in-depth review of test coverage by weekly simulated tests to project their capability in passing APCS exam.
The value of learning Java and passing APCS exam in high school level is enormous. Not only can students demonstrate their technological skills when applying for colleges, mastering of APCS subjects will provide tangible benefits in students’ college stage, including head start in Computer and Engineering fields and financial saving for waiving the entry level college programming courses (or receiving college credits).
Prerequisite: Proficiency in Algebra (Students must bring own laptop computers)
大學電腦預科考試準備班
應用:大學先修、工商業應用、行動科技先修
學習難易度:4~5 (5 最難,1 最易)
適合年級:10年級以上
附註說明:上課須學生自備手提電腦
